Manatees Have Come Back to the Manatee River and Bays
We are starting to see Manatees on most of our wildlife trips in the areas around Snead Island. They are highly endangered and are a welcome sight to see. Many of my guests have never seen one in the wild and it is a treat to see them. In the cold months here they congregate near Power plants and rivers that provide them warmer water. They are very peaceful and docile animals. It is nice to know that they are still surviving in our waters. We Support efforts to protect them and are responsible boaters in Manatee zones.
